Visas, embassies, important phone numbers – useful information about France.

France – useful information

It should be remembered that in the European Union, and therefore also in France, the customs service has the right to inspect the entire territory of the country. Be especially careful in overcrowded cities during the season. You shouldn’t keep more cash with you, and certainly not keep money with your documents. Also, no valuables should be left in hotel rooms or cars.

France – driving

When driving on French roads, remember to obey the road laws. Any offenses are severely punished. The vehicle must have a reflective vest and a warning triangle, because due to the lack of them, you can get a fine of over 100 Euro. When passing or moving around Paris, you have to watch out for heavy traffic and many drivers not following many rules. Their most common offense is failure to turn on the turn signal when making a turn.

France – visas.

In the territory of the French Republic, without the need to apply for a visa, there is a stay of no more than 90 days. The same rules apply when traveling to Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Réunion and Martinique. The only obligation for this time is to have a valid and undamaged identity card or passport. However, if the traveler intends to stay in the territory of other French overseas territories for more than 90 days, a visa will already be required for this purpose.
