On the azure coast there are approx 400 hotels. Most of them are located in Nice and Cannes. About one third of the total number of hotels in their category are rated “three stars” and slightly less are “four stars”.

Famous hotels of the azure coast
Some of the azure coast hotels can be considered a historical and cultural heritage of France.
Hotel Negresco in Nice, opened in 1912, is the pearl of the region and still amazes with its comfort and luxury.
In 1929, on La Croisette, St. Cannes, the “Martinez” hotel emerged, which became part of the history of the International Film Festival. All the stars of world cinema stayed in this hotel.
The main attraction of “Martinez” was opened in 1985 the restaurant “Golden Palm”. Part of the opening and closing ceremonies of the film festival takes place there. In the “Martinez” hotel, as part of the festival, there is also a special screening of films from the festival program.
In Antibes, in a palace built in a modernist style, there is the hotel “Belles Rives Juan-les-Pins”. It is known as the first hotel on the French Riviera built on the seashore. For a time it was a place that was rented by the American writer Scott Fitzgerald.
