This is a phenomenon that is very rare in popular tourist areas … Well, Bulgaria has been cheap and has been for over 40 years! We can buy the cheapest alcohol here (1 liter beer in a shop near the beach – PLN 5-7; Sophia wine – from PLN 10), and the prices of food products are very similar to those in force in Poland.
Can you have fun in Bulgaria?
Yes of course. In Bulgaria, there is no shortage of good and cheap bars, pubs, discos, restaurants and cafes. The atmosphere in them encourages you to visit and spend your free time in a nice way.
What to watch out for in Bulgaria?
The main threats to tourists are:
- Stinging jellyfish that can sometimes be found in the waters of the Black Sea;
- Unfavorable currency exchange transactions – also in exchange offices;
- Impetuous (but effective) bodyguards.
