The currency used in the Seychelles is the Seychelles Rupee – SCR. You can buy it for euros and dollars at airports and banks. Of course, we can only find banks in the largest cities, so before going to further islands and those less inhabited, you should think about exchanging cash in advance. In hotels and restaurants, you can also pay by credit cards, and euro and dollars are also accepted.
What to remember about?
Remember that not every island has cities where we can exchange cash or use an ATM. Remember that most of the islands are uninhabited, or there are simply no amenities there, including banks or ATMs. The safest thing is to buy rupees at the airport so that you don’t have any problems afterwards.
