Safari trip.
Kruger Park has several private reserves in the vicinity, which have houses called forest-lodgies. All lodges are constructed in such a way as not to stand out from the surrounding environment. Two-story houses or their structures are located on hills or in river valleys. Directly from the hotel you can watch the animals who come to drink water or go to the pastures in the valley.
Jeep safari.
Tourists staying at the lodge early in the morning go on a jeep safari where you can see the animals in their natural habitat and take photos. Animals do not pay attention to cars with tourists and treat them as a living object.
Here you can see the famous African “Big Five”: lion, elephant, leopard, rhinoceros, buffalo. There are other animals on the way – antelopes, zebras, giraffes, hippos, hyenas, etc. The animals can be photographed or you can rent a video camera.
During the day, walks are organized to observe the life of animals and birds. All safari activities are conducted in the company of experienced hunters. In the evening, safari participants eat lunch, and sitting by the grill campfire, you can admire the starry sky, listen to the rustling of grasses and leaves, and smell the herbs coming from the savannah.
Safari meeting (quoted)
Finally, as we thought, we saw a piece of real Africa. We drove for a few minutes, experiencing the meeting, it was downhill, the car speeded up completely on the sandy road, until … 3 elephants appeared around the bend, twice as large as the one we had seen before. They passed the car without emotion, and one of them scratched (probably at the sight of us) with his bugle in the eye! We were shocked for a long time. We were sure that all that could happen to us in this park.
But there was one more attraction waiting for us! To crown the ride in the park, we drove a car with closed windows into a fenced area with 20 or 30 lions. Actually, I don’t know which animal impressed me more: a huge elephant or a proud and unpredictable lion.
