When to Morocco?
Spending summer vacations in Morocco in mountainous areas is the best time and the best time. In winter it is the same – it is cold and especially in the north there is no shortage of snowfall, which is in large amounts in the Atlas Mountains. In the Middle Atlas, Ifran is an important ski resort, in the High Atlas – Azru.
In the Sahara regions, rainfall is extremely rare. In winter, the nights are often frosty, and in summer it is hotter than in Marrakesh. The most favorable time for a trip through the Sahara – from October to February.

Spring or fall is the most suitable time for trips to ancient cities (Fez, Meknes, Marrakesh). In summer heat it can be too stuffy here, especially in the south of Morocco, where the hot and dry blasts of the Chergui and Arifi from the Sahara desert are present. Some Marrakesh fans say, however, that you need to be there in the middle of summer to feel the atmosphere of the city. And in the mountains, even in summer, the nights are cool.

The coast of Morocco is free from the heat typical of the inland. From May to October it is quite pleasant to travel both in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. Keep in mind that the water temperature in the Atlantic remains low for most of the year. But in Tangier it is hotter in summer and the water is warmer than on the rest of the coast. On Agadir’s Atlantic coast, the tourist season lasts all year round. From July to September, Agadir has frequent morning fogs. Winter on the coast is not very cold, but sunny.
