Prices in France – alcohol, fuel, food, restaurants.

France is a country very eagerly visited by tourists from all over the world. This is mainly due to the interesting location of the country and its diversity. We will find there both tropical beaches (Cote d’Azur, Caribbean), as well as high mountains (Alps) with many beautiful glaciers and the best ski runs in the world, as well as many historic cities and buildings, remnants of the turbulent past of this country. All this, surrounded by lush and diverse vegetation, encourages you to visit and spend your free time here. In addition, exclusive tourist facilities: hotels, guesthouses, restaurants and many other attractions. As you can guess, you have to pay a lot for such attractions. Although it is known that the places are very expensive and cheaper, in general, to go on vacation to France, you have to take into account the high costs. The currency is the euro, just like in many other European countries. When choosing a trip around France, in addition to the cost of accommodation and food, we must also take into account the price of fuel. The prices here are similar to those currently found at Polish stations and are around:

– gasoline from 1.50 -1.65 euro diesel: 1.44 euro.

Where is the most expensive – food prices in restaurants and chain stores.

As in any other country, prices in France also vary by region. Generally, however, tourists are interested in places that are particularly attractive for tourists, and that is where it is most expensive. Consider, for example, the capital of France – Paris. The prices there are really exorbitantly high. And it’s practically everywhere. For accommodation in a hotel we have to pay from 150 to even 1500 euro per night, for dinner in a restaurant we will pay from 20 to 100 euro, of course even more, it depends on what we choose and how much we can eat. However, if we want to save, we should avoid restaurants, and eat in bars or cook ourselves. Food products can be bought a little cheaper in large grocery chains, while in small, neighborhood shops it is much more expensive. In large food chains, we will pay for food similar to in Poland, for example:

  • baguette – 0.50 € / piece
  • butter rolls – 2 € / 10 pieces
  • apples – 0.95 € / kg
  • pears – 0.95 € / kg
